Official Biography

Mahmood Alam is a seasoned politician and social activist from Bishnugarh, Hazaribagh, and a key figure in Jharkhand's political landscape. His public life began with his instrumental role in the Jharkhand statehood movement, where he championed the cause for a separate state. Since then, he has remained a steadfast advocate for the rights and recognition of the statehood agitators. Mr. Alam has contested multiple assembly elections from the Mandu constituency, running on platforms focused on grassroots development, social justice, and the upliftment of marginalized communities. As a leader in the Jharkhand Andolankari Sangharsh Morcha, he continues to be a prominent voice for those who fought for Jharkhand's creation.
